Free video series: six parts

A Free Mini-Course for People Navigating ME/CFS, Burnout & Chronic Fatigue

Short educational videos from a coach who lived with ME/CFS for over a decade. No jargon, no pressure, just a clear framework that helps you understand what’s happening in your body, and why.

Does any of this sound familiar?

You’re exhausted, but rest doesn’t restore you

You sleep, you lie down, you cancel everything, and you still don’t feel better. Rest feels like a ceiling, not a solution. And nobody seems to have a good explanation for why.

Your symptoms don’t add up

The brain fog, the dizziness, the sensitivity to light and sound, the crashes after small things: there’s no neat explanation that covers all of it. And that gap in understanding is its own kind of exhausting.

You’ve been let down by the usual answers

Your tests come back normal. You’re told to pace, to rest, to try antidepressants, to think more positively. None of it quite fits. And you’re tired of feeling like you’re not being taken seriously.

You’re looking for something that actually makes sense

Not a miracle cure. Not another list of tips. Just a clear, honest explanation of what’s happening, so you can finally understand your own body and work out what your next steps might be.

If you recognised yourself in any of that, this mini-course was made for you.

A different starting point

What most explanations miss about chronic fatigue

Most approaches to ME/CFS and burnout focus on managing the symptoms: the fatigue, the pain, the cognitive difficulties. And many people spend years, sometimes decades, doing exactly that, without ever understanding why they’re not improving the way they expect to.

What I discovered, through my own decade with ME/CFS and over 20 years of working with people navigating these conditions, is that there’s often something deeper going on.

The fatigue isn’t the root problem. It’s a signal. Your nervous system has become stuck in a state of high alert, a survival mode that burns through your energy reserves and keeps your body on constant standby for a threat that isn’t coming. Rest alone often isn’t enough, because if your nervous system still believes you’re under threat, your body can’t fully restore itself.

Understanding this pattern is the first step. Learning to interrupt it is the second. This mini-course covers both, not as abstract theory, but as something you can begin to recognise in your own experience right now.

What you’ll discover

Each part is a short video that builds on the one before it. Start with Part 1, it lays the foundation for everything that follows.

Part 1

What’s really causing your fatigue?

Most people assume fatigue is the problem. In Part 1, you’ll discover why it’s actually a signal, and what it may be trying to tell you. This shift in perspective alone can change how you relate to your condition.

Part 2

Is a hidden stress response draining your battery?

Your nervous system can run a low-level alert state completely beneath your awareness, burning through your energy reserves around the clock. Part 2 helps you recognise whether this might be happening for you.

Available after Part 1
Part 3

Why do you have such strange symptoms?

The sensitivity to light and sound, the dizziness, the brain fog, the symptoms that seem completely unrelated to each other. They’re not random. There’s a coherent explanation for all of them.

Available after Part 1
Part 4

The Symptom Checklist

A self-assessment to help you recognise specific signs of a dysregulated stress response, and see your experience reflected in a framework that finally makes sense of it.

Available after Part 1
Part 5

Do you have adrenal dysregulation?

Your adrenal system may be running on empty, not from weakness, but because your body has been in emergency mode for far longer than it was designed for. Part 5 explains what’s happening and why it matters.

Available after Part 1
Part 6

Are you stuck in Freeze?

Beyond fight and flight, there’s a third pattern: freeze. It’s less talked about, harder to recognise, and may explain why rest isn’t restoring you the way it should.

Available after Part 1

Is this the right starting point for you?

This mini-course is designed for a specific kind of person. It won’t be the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay.

This might be a good fit if…

  • You’ve been dealing with fatigue for months or years and still feel confused about what’s really causing it
  • You’ve been told your test results are normal, but you know something isn’t right
  • You’ve tried resting more, but rest alone isn’t restoring you
  • You’re open to exploring the mind-body connection, even approaching it with healthy scepticism
  • You want to understand the pattern before you commit to anything

This probably isn’t what you’re looking for if…

  • You want a supplement protocol or a step-by-step programme
  • You need a medical assessment or a diagnosis. Amir is a coach, not a clinician
  • You want to be told exactly what to do, rather than helped to understand the pattern first

A Fatigue & Burnout Coach Who’s Been Where You Are

Amir Norris, Fatigue and Burnout Coach

“I spent a decade searching for answers. I’m sharing everything I found, starting with this mini-course, for free.”

Amir Norris

Fatigue & Burnout Coach

My ME/CFS started after a bout of shingles. One day I was living a normal life. The next, I was struggling to walk to the kitchen. I couldn’t think clearly, couldn’t sleep properly, couldn’t do the simplest things without crashing afterwards.

I spent years wading through conflicting advice, dead ends, and approaches that promised everything but changed nothing. What eventually shifted things for me wasn’t a supplement or a programme. It was understanding that my nervous system had been stuck on high alert, and learning how to interrupt that pattern.

Everything in this mini-course comes from that process. I’m sharing it freely because I didn’t want anyone else to spend a decade in the dark the way I did.

Since founding Fatigue Answers in 2002, I’ve worked with over 800 people navigating ME/CFS, burnout, Long-Covid and fibromyalgia. I’m joined on the full course by Aliya Burch, a remedial therapist with over 26 years of experience in restorative movement and nervous system support.

What People Say About the Energy Excellence Course

The mini-course introduces the same foundational framework as the full course. These experiences are shared in people’s own words.

ME/CFS

Anna had been a high-energy teacher until ME/CFS stopped her in her tracks. Despite seeing her GP, Occupational Health, a Physiotherapist and a CBT practitioner, she felt she was going nowhere. One busy day would set her back for the next few.

“I could scream with joy. I learned things that have made such a difference. I suddenly remember who I am.”

ME/CFS

Vicky had been managing just one minute of gentle movement at a time, and had given up singing with a choir three years earlier. Pain was a daily presence in her life.

“I feel lighter, my head feels clear, I’m more conscious of the moment, more appreciative of the moment.”

ME/CFS

Liz had lived with ME/CFS for years and knew that travel and unavoidable stress could easily exhaust her and bring on brain fog.

“Before the course I needed to rest every day and easily got exhausted and brain fogged. There was quite a bit of stress and hard work during our travels but I kept up doing the process whenever I could feel myself starting to dip. I managed it, and returned happy and more confident in my abilities.”

These are personal experiences shared voluntarily by course students. Individual experiences vary. This is educational coaching, not medical treatment. Always consult your GP or medical professional regarding your health.

When you’re ready

Part 1 is waiting for you, and it’s free

No pressure, no rush. Just a clear explanation of what’s happening in your body, and a first step toward understanding it.
